The Landscape Designer/Architect will help our project teams produce high-quality, project-focused design ideas and solutions in response to client’s program and input from Project Managers. They will work cooperatively with internal and external clients in performing professional planning and design services, and maintain technical accuracy, constructability, code conformance, and appropriate level of detail for project scopes. They will assist with the preparation of outline and final construction document specifications and coordinate the work with other project specifications, participate in value engineering, and discussions/meetings with clients on projects dealing with design and planning issues in personal area of expertise. They may also need to assist with field investigations and participate in construction site observation visits as requested.

Candidate Requirements:
-- 3-5 years of experience working as a landscape designer or architect
-- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture
-- Strong analytical, planning and design skills
-- Experience developing landscape design plans and construction documents
-- High proficiency in CAD/Revit, 3D modeling and graphic/rendering software tools
-- Ability to become licensed as a landscape architect in the State of Ohio

Job Description: Works directly with the University Landscape Architect and is responsible for project management of landscape architectural projects through all phases of project and acts as project lead on the design of new site construction, additions, and remodeling projects throughout the IU system.
