The ability of a Landscape Architect to apply creative, adaptive solutions that connect our world and address an array of environmental and social issues has placed us in the forefront of the design industry as leaders for innovative projects. For example, trends in climate change are leading to a greater awareness of material selection, plant species, and resilient design. Shifts in demographics are creating the need for more flexible and equitable environments. Continued development of alternative transportation is challenging us to integrate and connect these systems into our communities.
These are only a few of the many responsibilities which Landscape Architects are tasked with addressing. When the form of a space works with function, it benefits the users it serves while advancing the profession through high level critical thinking, design, and stewardship.
