Group: Planning and Economic Development
Position: Senior Planner/Landscape Architect 
Location: Indianapolis, IN 
Our upstart and growing planning and landscape architecture group helps our clients stay ahead of the curve and finds unique and innovative solutions to everyday problems. Our planning group specializes in both rural and urban redevelopment planning, sub-area plans, urban design projects, strategic investment planning, economic development and general land-use planning.
Our team is looking for a Senior-level Planner/Landscape Architect whom will be responsible for leading urban design projects, downtown and community revitalization plans, corridor plans, parks and trails master plans, and comprehensive and strategic plans. These project management responsibilities will also include developing budgets and schedules, client interactions, and managing junior staff production time. This position will also assume responsibilities within the civil group to include site and landscape plans (schematic through construction documents). Additional duties may include: preparation and facilitation of public meetings and workshops, public and client presentations, economic and demographic analysis, and land-use analysis and research.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Manage projects and effort of less experienced staff in:
o Comprehensive and neighborhood development plans
o Downtown and community revitalization plans
o Special area master plans
o Economic development studies
o Parks and Trails Master Plans
o Alternative transportation plans
o Public participation
o Site and Landscape Plans, Planting Plans
• Project management duties will also include:
o Client Management 
o Ensuring budgets and deadlines are met
o Assisting with business development activities, general marketing strategy, and preparation of responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s
• Provide support to other departments in the company with planning related projects (marketing, outreach and public involvement, project development)

Required Experience/Skills: • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design 
• Certified Professional Landscape Architect required
• AICP accreditation preferred
• Must be highly-motivated and possess the ability to work independently on concurrent projects in a fast-paced professional environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of Landscape Architecture, Urban Design
• Project management experience required
• Registered/Professional Landscape Architect in the State of Indiana (PLA/RLA) required or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google SketchUp, and ArcView GIS 
• Working knowledge of Adobe design software (PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator) and AutoCAD, Civil 3D
